  1. GIRL! Timely. This was so good & rooted in truth. I’ve been teetering on the edge of online dating for the same reasons you explained early on in the post. Your Biblical insight felt like a paradigm shift! Trust is so multi-faceted and it’s an honor to trust and hope in Him for love/marriage. And trust within online dating isn’t any different. Miss you!

    1. So glad this was timely!! And I’m glad to hear that the biblical insight was helpful— When I was considering online dating, I wanted to make sure it was something I could bring God into rather than try and hide from him. And I feel like it’s been a much better experience because of that (although I still have frustrating moments…or weeks😂). Miss you too 🙃

  2. Beautifully written! I still have a heart for singles ministry!
I get it! I know how you feel! You can trust Him! Thanks to the examples in our family J&H, J&N, R&M and S&E, I found the Lord 10 years before my husband! Single until 40 , I know what it is Iike being single when all around you people are getting married!! Trusting the Lord with my heart was the best thing I ever did! He is the perfect matchmaker! You are on the right path! With Eyes on Him you can’t go wrong! So glad you shared. I am sure it will bless many other singles!

  3. Absolutely LOVED this and related to it 1000%. So incredibly well written and insightful. Thank you for the honesty and perspective, it’s needed!

  4. Wow, Samantha—such interesting thoughts! Several people in my family found their spouses through online dating, so I hadn’t thought of it as having a stigma. I love your transparency, and how your heart is already leaning on the Lord and recognizing that, dating apps aside, He is ultimately in control of your future.

    1. When I shared the thoughts in this post with friends about a year ago, I was surprised that they were surprised by me thinking there was a stigma 😂 (hope you made it through that sentence alive)

      Thanks for reading 🙂
